14 – Capturing the Giant Stone City (1/2)
6 Apprentice Warlocks dressed in gray robes appeared atop the city wall, at last. These 6 Apprentice Warlocks were wandering Apprentice Warlocks painstakingly recruited by Viscount Harley.
In Turandot Subcontinent, Warlocks grasped great power and wealth. Official Warlocks would be recruited by some powerful Warlock groups. Very few aristocrats could recruit official Warlocks. Only the greater aristocrats of powerful empire may be able to recruit an official Warlock.
“Grease!” An Apprentice Warlock pointed at a bladed robot and cast a level-0 spell.
The bladed robot slipped and tumbled to the ground.
Several heavy crossbows locked on the bladed robot. In a flash, three frightening crossbow bolts shot at the bladed robot and blasted it into numerous metallic fragments.
“Arcane Projectiles!” Another Apprentice Warlock pointed at a bladed robot and Arcane Projectiles shot at it alike bullets.
Arcane Projectiles blasted into the chest of the bladed robot and hurled it several steps back. Its chest sank in a little.
But the bladed robot just swayed and then continued to rush forward, unaffected.
The level-0 spell Arcane Projectiles, which could inflict heavy damage on a Knight rank powerhouse, didn’t do much damage to the bladed robot. Instead, a strike from a Knight rank powerhouse was a bigger threat to a bladed robot.
“Acid Rain!” An Apprentice Warlock pointed at a bladed robot and sprayed it with acid.
Like having a basin of concentrated sulfuric acid poured on it, the bladed robot emitted white mist and potholes were corroded onto the surface of its body. An ordinary human would have their upper body corroded, would suffer great pain, and would be rendered incapacitated if they were sprayed by the acid. However, the bladed robot had no reaction and still continued to charge.
“Acid Rain!” “Acid Rain!” “Acid Rain!”
The head of the bladed robot was completely corroded after being sprayed 4 times by Acid Rain and it fell to the ground powerlessly.
The 6 Apprentice Warlocks were to few in numbers. Although they managed to jointly knock down 7 bladed robots, yet the bladed robots still charged until the bottom of the city wall.
When a bladed robot arrived at the bottom of the city wall, it put its alloy battle blades on its back and lifted its hands high. Another bladed robot jumped onto its palms and then also lifted its hands high. Bladed robots repeated this action and quickly formed 6 human ladders.
Bladed robots very agilely jumped up the 6 human ladders and then jumped towards the city wall.
“Arcane Projectiles!” The 6 Apprentice Warlocks could only cast this level-0 spell and, by relying on its strong repelling strength, shoot down the bladed robots from midair.
However, the nimbleness of the bladed robots was too abnormal. The first wave of bladed robots was just repelled, when the second wave of bladed robots jumped atop the city wall, brandishing their alloy battle blades, ruthlessly slashed at the warriors atop the city wall of the Giant Stone Castle.
“Go to hell!!” A Knight wearing heavy armor and holding a great sword roared angrily, erupted with a powerful life energy, slashed at the head of a bladed robot in a surprise attack from the side, and sent its head flying.
Before the heavy-armored Knight could take a breath, 6 bladed robots pounced at him, and 12 huge alloy battle blades sliced at him from 6 directions.
