Rose Beverley reverently stroked her love's face. She gazed lovingly at his sleeping visage. Ah, even just staring at his sleeping face was just lovely. She was glad that she had taken the chance to seduce him with her charms. Even though she was her father's daughter, this man hadn't cared about her status at all, which was rather maddening. Although she wasn't very good at magic, she was still stunning.

Those pesky students who kept hovering around here kept getting in her way, so when she had seen the opening, she had taken it without hesitation. To her, there was nothing better than being able to keep him company.

She looked on as he slept soundly, taking in his gentle features, and felt herself falling even deeper in love. To stop anyone from getting in the way of their love, she had installed many runes that allowed them to keep their privacy. Rose had spirited away her love to a faraway land, spending their days in bliss and affection.

How sweet as her life? After tasting this honey-like affection, she didn't think she could go back to her old days.

Rose's eyes lit up when she realized that her love was awake.

”Darling, you're awake!” she cried out coquettishly.

Her love stroked her so gently on the cheek, smiling at her. She swooned. ”How could I stay asleep with you staring at me with such passionate eyes?” he said.

Oh, he was so gentle, so darling. She really was glad she had taken the chance to elope with him. With his status, should they ever decide to return, she was sure that he would make a woman out of her.

Outside of the room, Rose's butler, Leopold Stewart, felt chills run down his spine as her heard her soft giggles as she talked to herself. He didn't know what had happened with his Lady recently, but she was acting as if she had completely submerged into her own delusional world. She spent all her time with the Eldest Prince, who seemed to have been trapped under some sort of magical spell that would keep him asleep.

Leopold knew what he was doing was a crime against the monarchy, but he needed the money. Even though the Eldest Prince wasn't likely to inherit the throne, he was still a prince after all. But his daughter was sick. Very sick. So sick, in fact, that without the support of healers every day, she would probably pass on to the next world without another extra word. The money was needed to pay the healers who were attending to her, and it was an exorbitant amount. Even though this was a terrible job, he had to look past his Lady's whims and act like it didn't concern him.

Leopold grit his teeth and drove out the chilling sounds emitting from inside the room, trying hard to ignore anything unsavoury that was going on. He closed his eyes to it all. Luckily, it seemed like the prince wasn't conscious, so he wouldn't know what was happening to him. He had already been like that for the past week. Even if he wanted to help, he couldn't do so. He didn't know where they were, or how to leave this godforsaken place. All he knew was that they were surrounded by trees, and the groceries were delivered once a week via transportation runes.

Rose clutched her beloved's hand, feeling like the happiest woman in the entire world. She was so blessed. Every passing day felt more and more like a dream as she spent all her time with her new lover. It didn't matter that she had to live in seclusion like this. As soon as they produced an heir together, they would go back to Cosmos City and fight for the throne. She would get what she deserved, and her son would be next in line to inherit, eventually becoming the Emperor.

Rose called Leopold in and had him carry her beloved. Unfortunately, he was so weak, so she had to employ some outside help to get him around. She brought him into the little darling garden that she had her father install for her to celebrate their honeymoon. Thankfully, her father loved her the most, catering to her every whim. He didn't know about her love, and she wanted to keep it that way for a while, until they had produced an heir. Her silly father just thought she was being wilful again and messing around, wanting to stay here, deep in the forest, but little did he know that she was having the time of her life with her darling.

She sat down in the grass with her beloved, basking in the gentle morning sun. The two lay together in blissful harmony, exchanging sweet nothings. Their feelings were at an all time high as they were still in their honeymoon phase. Rose giggled at the things he said to her, feeling the swell of sweet love.

Rose was such a lucky woman. She had met him in the prime of his life, witnessing that stupid Crown Prince get belittled by her fellow schoolmates. He seemed to enjoy it, too, but then that stupid Crown Prince had gotten in the way and actually used some sort of black magic, harming her and that poor other student! It was utterly unforgivable. Her darling had already fallen in love with her then, but she hadn't been able to reply before he was being whisked away.

It was then that she knew she just had to do something. The Crown Prince was bullying her love! He always left the spars with a sad look on his face that screamed he was being bullied. That bastard prince had made her love so dishevelled and unkempt, but it hadn't taken away from his radiance at all.

But it was fine now. As they lived like newlyweds, she would soothe all the hurts and scars that that bastard had left on her beloved, healing him until he was new. He would be able to forget all the past hurts with her by his side. Then, the two of them plus their heir would go back and claim back their rightful position.

The Crown Prince didn't deserve to be the next Emperor. Only her love had that right.

Mark her words, she would do everything in her power to do that.
