CHAPTER 29. Crawling Hounds.
”They are here, they are here.”
The injured man started shivering and muttering to himself, as he can also feel the sudden temperature drop.
”Fox, leave him as his condition is already stabilized and help squirrel to set up the spell formation, FAST!!” The leader gave his orders, as he also started chanting some kind of spell, which made his wand glow in a purple color.
The injured man didn't dare to object as he was already struggling by tightening his Butt cheeks to not shit himself.
The temperature kept dropping further, as a muffled howling sound of some creatures can be heard from somewhere, far. It felt like it was approaching towards the Old house. Nearer and nearer by every second.
The vibrations of the approaching danger can be felt, as the shattered window glasses on the Floor started rattling.
'BOOM' 'THUD'
The front door of the house on the first floor burst open by a heavy collision, its loose nuts couldn't support its big frame as it came down from the joints all at once.
What came inside from the destroyed entrance, were big Wolfish Hound like creatures with full black hairs as a rotten smell of flesh emitted from their skinny bodies. They were Crawling Hounds.
Their name was like this because of their meter and half long bony legs, which can't support their large frame as due to this their body mainly touched the ground when they move. It made them even more dangerous as they are experts at hiding and appear behind you without notice like a crawling insect.
The rotten smell is also one of their main traits as these Hounds constantly release Evil Qi, which rots their targets flesh due to the invasion of the Evil Qi.
”Growl” ”GRRR”
Down stairs the deep growling sound can be heard, as they moved towards the second floor.
”What's the status?” The leader asked in a serious tone as the large droplet of sweat can be seen on his forehead, showing how tensed he was.
”It's almost done we just need couple of minutes more.” Squirrel said in a trembling voice as fox was still busy chanting, but the deep frown and almost dry voice and pale face showed that he was on the verge of breaking.
'Stay brave, stay brave you can do this, it's just couple of minutes.' The leader muttered to himself as he tried to brave his heart.
His spell was also complete as a purple color Fire orb, which was as big as a basketball was hung above his wand, ready to explode at the any given moment.
Suddenly everything went silent, as even the growl of the hounds stopped. It showed that the Hounds have found their target and were about to attack.
Leader moved backwards leaving the cover of bed and closet, which was blocking the door. He knew that there will be a collision, as these hounds love to tackle anything blocking their way.
”Prepare yourself, and try not to Die.” The leader said as he threw the Purple fire Orb towards the door.
